A very large art exhibition continues until mid-November
Demonstrations by artists on weekends from October
If Ed Sullivan were still around, he would say this is a very big show – or “shoe” in its unique vernacular.
The artists have decided to think big for the large art exhibition at the Rainforest Arts Gallery in downtown Chemainus which started earlier this month and runs through mid-November.
The entire wall space of the Chemainus Valley Community Gallery is occupied for the exhibition. The works had to be at least 24 inches to 36 inches wide with no height limit to fit into the large category.
As a bonus, in October and November, the public will have the opportunity to meet the artists every Saturday and Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. Artists will perform at the gallery during these times.
The calendar of events on CVCAS.ca shows who will be at the big art table each time.
Normal gallery hours at 9781 Willow Street are Wednesday to Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, call 250-246-4861 or email [email protected]
