Applications sought for the annual student art exhibition


FAIRFIELD – The City of Fairfield-Suisun Visual Arts Association invites all high school students in Solano County to participate in the 6th Annual FSVAA High School Students Art Show.

The exhibit opens March 2 and runs through March 26 at the downtown Solano Gallery, 1350 Travis Blvd.

The opening hours of the gallery are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday to Sunday.

Admission to the show is 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on February 26 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on February 27.

Artworks will be accepted in 14 categories: oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel / drawing, sculpture / assemblage, ceramic container, mixed media / collage, color photography, B&W photography, computer art / digital art, fiber art / textiles, printmaking, jewelry, and video / other.

Categories are subject to change without notice.

The awards ceremony will begin on March 26 at 3 p.m. on Zoom. Send an email to [email protected] for a summons.

Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place and an honorable mention at the discretion of the jury. A separate award will be given for the President’s Award which will include a free one-year membership in the FSVAA.
