FAIRFIELD – The Visual Arts Association of the Town of Fairfield-Suisun will be accepting entries for the 58th Annual Nor-Cal Regional Art Show from September 24 to October 23.
The show will run from November 5 to January 8.
Artists from across Northern California are invited to participate and will submit their work via a link at www.fvaa-arts.org/juredartshow.
Artworks will be accepted in 14 different categories: acrylic, oil, watercolor, color photography, glass, ceramic vase, black and white photography, digital art, mixed media and collage, textile and textile art, pastel and drawing, printmaking , sculpture and assemblage, and Jewelry.
Artists could take first, second or third place in each category.
Other rewards will be the jury’s choice and at the end of the show, the audience’s prize. The People’s Choice award winner will be invited to exhibit the winning artwork at the Solano downtown gallery at the upcoming exhibition, “Sea, Wind, Storms, and Fog”.
All participants will be online via www.EntryThingy.com. Artists will need to create a profile with EntryThingy before participating.
The work will be judged on October 30. The artists will be informed by e-mail the same day.
A virtual awards ceremony will take place on November 13.
Accepted artwork must be hand-delivered from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on November 1 at the Solano Downtown Gallery, 1350 Travis Blvd, Suite D-8, located on the second floor.
The works of art will also be available for viewing as a virtual show online at www.fvaa-arts.org/quarantine-gallery.
The downtown Solano gallery will be closed on October 31 and reopen on November 5. The opening hours of the gallery are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday to Sunday.
Visitors to the gallery are required to wear a mask.
