Joy Willow’s “abstract naturalist” style combines a love of organic line and texture with nature-inspired imagery. Working on canvas, panel and print paper, she aims to create a feeling of spontaneity and space while involving an inner landscape. Its panels offer an accumulation of textures that suggest forms of earth and rock.
Her work has been exhibited in galleries and private collections across Northern California including Sonoma and Marin counties, San Francisco, Sacramento, Cambria, Lake Tahoe and the Motherlode area where her work has been exhibited in the former Ventana Gallery in Sonora and Murphy’s Handmade Gallery; currently his work can be seen at the Aloft Gallery in downtown Sonora
Open from July 7 to August 11
