MPP for Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows hosts art exhibit in his office

The constituency office of Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows MP Lisa Beare has been transformed into a sort of art gallery.

From June 27 at 3 p.m. until September, the public is invited to see a variety of artists, members of the Garibaldi Art Club, who will exhibit their works.

The exhibit at Beare’s office will include paintings by Lyn Thomas, Olivia Burrage, Deb Carr, Trudy Deaton, Diane L. Speirs and Leslie Lendvoy.

Opening day will be from 2-4 p.m. on Friday, August 5.

In June, Maple Ridge-Mission MPP Bob D’Eith hosted the works of Garibaldi Art Club members Dave Clark, Christopher Potter and Jackie Versfelt. This exhibition will continue until Sunday, July 31.

The main inspiration for both shows is to feature artists from Maple Ridge, explained artist Dave Clark.

“Some sales resulted from that, which is always nice for artists,” he said.

This is the first Garibaldi Art Club featured artist exhibition of 2022.

The Garibaldi Art Club also showcases its work at the Haney Farmers Market and will hold its major fall exhibition and sale on November 18, 19 and 20 at the Albion Community Center.

MP Lisa Beare’s constituency office is located at 104-20130 Lougheed Highway and MP Bob D’Eith’s constituency office is located at 102-23015 Dewdney Trunk Road.
